when we get power fluctuations ie power cuts out for a few seconds it is enough to operate the backup switch, but when it does it immediately trips the RCD device in the garage why?
it means that my system will not automatically switch to battery back up in the event of a power cut.

Seems like a 30mA RCD to me, so Dave or Will can confirm if you might need that changing to 100mA (as per Fox recommendations)
Thanks for the info MaterialBarracuda48, will now go and shout at my installers OVO Energy! but do have to say they were brilliant at the install very neat and tidy and everything works, just it seems this one glitch.
