Force charge not working
We have had a fully functioning system - PV/fox ess/EV/Octopus for some time.
The only change is a new EV but still charged through previous Zappi.
Last 2 nights despite the app working as normal there has been no charge.
All devices are on line. There has been no router change, power cuts etc
The car charge and force charge do not over lap. The force charge does not cross the midnight dark spot.
We have done a forced charge test this morning. The mobile app shows “forced charge” on the home page but there is no effect on electricity flow/battery.
Any ideas? Thanks.
(Please keep responses simple - very much amateurs in this world!)
Re: Force charge not working
If you are using the FoxCloud2.0 App, can you take a screenshot of the following if possible;

1. Home screen
2. Work Mode, show your schedule
3. Daily Production
4. Statistics (bottom of Daily Production page)
Re: Force charge not working
Thank you, hopefully these are what you want to look at.

Re: Force charge not working
Your mode scheduler looks a lot more basic than mine, just wondering if there is any firmware upgrade available?
On your last picture, if you click on the Inverter SN, there you should be able to see what is loaded currently.

If there is an update, and you can apply it, I recommend you do so. Grab screenshots before/after for own records of course.
Re: Force charge not working
Nothing happens when I click inverter SN. Is there a different way to check this?

Re: Force charge not working
I’ve checked all the devices in the mobile app. None show they need updates. That would have been far too easy!
Re: Force charge not working
Your picture says 1,000 words (firmware is current)

H1 (legacy) if I am not mistaken...

Two final suggestions, at some point, restart the system https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBTtKaX-k14
and if the App still won't charge it, then you should be able to set a charge up on the inverter screen directly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDY3DllWakQ
Re: Force charge not working
Great. I’ll have a go - but probably tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestions.
Re: Force charge not working
Hi. Exactly same error for my system running a H1 G2 (latest firmware) + 2x EP6 (linked) with 7x 465w panels on 2 strings.

I'm using the Octopus Agile Work Mode and it too has failed to charge for the past 2 nights. I went in and re-added the 11 Forced Charge time slots yesterday only to find they had disappeared again this morning. My guess is that this may be something to do with the Octopus API? Going on the 🐙 forum after this to see if there are any clues.

Going to try a manually set Mode Schedule today in line with the Agile one to see if that works.

If you're linked to Octopus they will be able to set schedules which will override anything you set manually unless you break the link with Octopus.

Have you had a recent firmware update ?, common things to check on later firmware is that the import settings (which were introduced on newer firmware) haven't been corrupted or are set to zero.

From the Inverter panel, click settings, on-grid, export control and make sure that the settings ImportLimitPwr and ImportLimitCurr are set correctly - you would normally expect Curr to be set to the value of your incoming domestic fuse i.e. 80 or 100A, Pwr would be set to the maximum power you expect to be taking - usually something like 12,000 or 14,000 watts.

Also just to add, lots of problems being reported with the Fox cloud this morning which could also be causing it.

All sorted now - the old switch off and back on did the trick. Thank you
