I got my installer come to install the RS485 comms cable from EV charger to inverter, Green mode and eco mode still does not work properly.
Schedules also not working properly.
Until they fix the app or everything, I really dont recommend a FoxESS EV charger.
My only way to use it atm is Full charge or nothing, schedules are from my own EV car.
I wish I got a EVNex or Zappi charger instead
Update: FoxESS A Series EV Charger Issues Resolved
After several lengthy back-and-forth discussions with my installer, he ultimately refused to return to troubleshoot the installation of my FoxESS A Series EV charger.
I contacted FoxESS directly, and a manufacturer technician attended my property to investigate the issues. He quickly identified that the RS485 communication wiring had been installed incorrectly.
The technician corrected the wiring in approximately 15 minutes, which resolved all the charging issues I had been experiencing.
The following features are now working correctly:
Green Mode
Eco Mode
Load Balancing
The technician also acknowledged the scheduling discrepancies between the FoxSwitch and FoxCloud apps and advised that he would report the issue to FoxESS's R&D team for further investigation.
I'm pleased that the issues have finally been resolved, but it's disappointing that the installation fault was not identified and rectified by the original installer, particularly after the time spent trying to get the matter addressed.
A big thank you to the FoxESS manufacturer technician for identifying the root cause and resolving the issues so quickly.
Hopefully, the R&D team can also address the scheduling discrepancy between the two apps in a future update.

UPDATE: 27/10/2026
On the bold/italic/red point below: missing "ECO mode" on C-series workaround: controlling the charger using Home Assistant and evcc add-in via OCPP. It takes about half day of configuration, and so far my tests are positive, including custom rules like: "if home battery is lower than 30% and PV production is higher than 4.1 kW, charge the home battery first until it gets to 60% and then charge the car" (don't judge the rule, is just an example, to show what it can be done, but not doable with FoxCloud 2.0)
INITIAL POST: 13/10/2026
Hey all, coming back with a bit more on the C-series:
- Fox-ESS support had to fix the ability to Start/Stop charging via FoxCloud app on Android. They've fixed it only for C1 port, C2 is still not triggered from the app and is reported as a bug (can still be triggered using the RFID card in Controlled mode)
- Scheduler works a bit strange, as you have to have the cable unplugged before you can schedule, and once you save the schedule, you can not deactivate "repeat", unless you delete the schedule and create a new one (also had a bit of UX issue with deleting the schedule I've create)
- Charging 2 EVs works fine, but charging speed is limited to your Inverter capability
- PV linkage is not there yet (I've suggested to add the feature, the more people asks for it the higher the chances to get it .. so, don't hesitate)
.. the only way to control it is to play with the Amperage requested by the car, based on your observed PV production, but you need to keep an constant eye on it, if you want only PV production to be used.
- Fox-ESS support has advised using FoxSwitch instead of FoxCloud app, as C-series is not yet "ready" for proper usage via FoxCloud
- What might work is controlling your C-series charger with HomeAssistant instead, but I don't advice doing that unless you know what you're doing
When I know more, I'll write more.

What great feedback - especially the part about availability of the C series in Europe as opposed to Australia LOL.
Agree with all you've said - L series might be the sensible option for now especially if one only has single phase house supply &/or household's second EV is some way off etc .
Staying tuned
Many thanks
Sincerely
The timezone mix-up between FoxSwitch and Fox Cloud is what worries me most about going with the A series here. I'm in Jackson, Mississippi, planning a charger for a 2023 Bolt EUV, and my utility's off-peak window is narrow, so a schedule that shifts an hour would quietly cost me money. I want the app scheduling to match the car's charging, not just look right in one app. I haven't installed anything yet and I'm weighing whether to wait for the C series or pick a different brand entirely. I came across Best EV chargers of 2026 while comparing options. Has anyone confirmed the FoxESS fix actually holds after an app update?
My A series charger recently received a Firmware update to 1.10 and combination of Fox Switch and Fox Cloud app updates, the schedules are now working and in sync with both apps.sophiagarcia wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2026 12:14 am The timezone mix-up between FoxSwitch and Fox Cloud is what worries me most about going with the A series here. Ps. this was after multiple ticket requests and complaints to get through to the apps team
I have bought A series charger which will be installed next week but I noticed something on my APP that My solar generation is always "Zero" and home load shows up as negative. which is [(home load)-(Solar generation)=-(app Home section)]. Which means the green energy option to charge my car isnt going to work as it looks at the excess solar generation and use it to charge the car.
have anybody else seen this happening in their app, and what was the fix?

Never seen that before, smells like installation issue.
You could check in FoxCloud 2.0 app, under your invertor -> Detailed Parameters -> PV information / Battery Information / etc.. but I doubt you get much of an explanation from there.
Your installer would need to look into the logs and see what data is transmitted. As user, you only have limited access to your "plat".
