UPDATE: 27/10/2026
On the bold/italic/red point below: missing "ECO mode" on C-series workaround: controlling the charger using Home Assistant and evcc add-in via OCPP. It takes about half day of configuration, and so far my tests are positive, including custom rules like: "if home battery is lower than 30% and PV production is higher than 4.1 kW, charge the home battery first until it gets to 60% and then charge the car" (don't judge the rule, is just an example, to show what it can be done, but not doable with FoxCloud 2.0)

Hey all, coming back with a bit more on the C-series:
- Fox-ESS support had to fix the ability to Start/Stop charging via FoxCloud app on Android. They've fixed it only for C1 port, C2 is still not triggered from the app and is reported as a bug (can still be triggered using the RFID card in Controlled mode)
- Scheduler works a bit strange, as you have to have the cable unplugged before you can schedule, and once you save the schedule, you can not deactivate "repeat", unless you delete the schedule and create a new one (also had a bit of UX issue with deleting the schedule I've create)
- Charging 2 EVs works fine, but charging speed is limited to your Inverter capability
- PV linkage is not there yet (I've suggested to add the feature, the more people asks for it the higher the chances to get it .. so, don't hesitate)

.. the only way to control it is to play with the Amperage requested by the car, based on your observed PV production, but you need to keep an constant eye on it, if you want only PV production to be used.
- Fox-ESS support has advised using FoxSwitch instead of FoxCloud app, as C-series is not yet "ready" for proper usage via FoxCloud
- What might work is controlling your C-series charger with HomeAssistant instead, but I don't advice doing that unless you know what you're doing
When I know more, I'll write more.

Hi scorillo
What great feedback - especially the part about availability of the C series in Europe as opposed to Australia LOL.
Agree with all you've said - L series might be the sensible option for now especially if one only has single phase house supply &/or household's second EV is some way off etc .
Staying tuned
Many thanks
Sincerely
