Error Code 194 - Battery over voltage

Hi all,

I own my current (and first) solar setup since about 2 months. When the sun is shining heavily, I seem to receive the error code 194 batter over voltage. Had this happen 2 times already. Only restarting the battery completely will solve the issue, otherwise the battery will stay disconected and the status of the inverter will go to "error".

Any tips on how to solve the issue?
Or has any one else experienced it as well?

Thanks a lot in advance!

I cant help you with a solution, but I had it happen recently - in fact only a few days ago.

Like you, a battery reset (I did the whole system) solved it. I am hoping to get the system software updated next week.

I took a closer look at the data of the battery. In fact (as the error states...) the voltage keeps rising, although the battery is at 100%. It goes as high as 420 volts. 428 is the max according to the fact sheet.

It will happen again in a few hours since the battery is still full and the sun is coming out and the voltage is rising.

This can not be normal or healthy...

The battery voltage is correct for this battery type, nothing unusual there when charging the battery voltage rises quickly at the end (this is why the BMS calibrates in the last few %) - the only thing that is unusual is the battery alarm - it may be that one of the battery cells is a bit higher than the others which is tripping the BMS but I think given these are such new batteries that a firmware update will correct this for you.

I really appreciate your reply, thanks!

But currently the setup is not working, since the battery keeps failing and is not available for a certain period of time. So hoping for a possible firmware update doesn´t sound reasonable.

Lets see what the company that installed my setup says.

One more thought I had...

I have the H3-6.0-E Inverter (so basically for 6kWh i guess?) but a 11kWh battery?

Could that maybe be a problem?

Sorry for my unknowing, but this is just not my turf ;-)

No that will work just fine, your H3 inverter will take up to 4 EP11 batteries if necessary - the latest battery firmware for the EP is 1.007, it should settle down if you can get your installer / Fox to install that.
