New App and Forced Charge in Work Mode

I was happily set up with the old app with a forced charge 2-5am within the Mode Scheduler where I could alter the cut off to a level to suit on a daily basis.

The new app still has this feature but despite me setting the Charging cut off SOC to a lower level and saving it, the battery is still charged to 100% during this period.

How can I fix this please?

Do you have a picture of the values set, also note that there are many bugs with the new App, with some entities are incorrect.

See Dave's recent post here viewtopic.php?p=12960#p12960

Just a thought, the app used to let you set FCSoc and MaxSoC in a schedule, most people used to set them both the same as older firmware took no notice of the newer FCSoC but the new app only lets you set FC cut off SoC.

That said try setting your System MaxSoC setting in Quick Settings to be the same as your FC cut off SoC - that will only affect grid charge, solar will ignore that and keep charging anyway.

I can try setting Max SOC to match desired cut off level but even if that works, how is it progress to have to change two things in the app when you only had to change one thing before??

Depending on your inverter the later generation models should be able to have their firmware updated and they will follow the FC cut off setting correctly, check your inverter firmware versions against this page https://foxesscommunity.com/viewtopic.php?t=1927

Cheers, Dave. I saw that there were updates available on the inverter firmware so just updated via the app. I’ll find out if this does the trick in the morning.

Thanks, Dave. The upgrade of the firmware has done the trick and my requested level of SOC cutoff in the mode scheduler was achieved this morning whilst keeping the max SOC at 100% within the quick settings.

Happy to hear you have it sorted now

Spoke too soon! Whilst the updated firmware has solved one problem, it has created another, this time with my forced discharge within the mode scheduler.

This is set up to discharge to the grid at the best revenue times but is set at a cut off level to leave us enough battery electricity for the evening.

Following the firmware update, the forced discharging cut off SOC changed to 10% so I changed it to 70% under the edit function and saved it. 70% was showing. Yet, without my involvement, it has discharged this evening all the way down to 10% and edited the mode scheduler itself!

Any idea please how I can get this horrid app upgrade to behave and do what I want it to do? Clearly manually editing the mode scheduler is being overridden automatically and this is wrong.

I would add that attempting to change anything in Quick Settings now gets the response of Write Failed.

Try and stick with the Fox Cloud v2 Desktop temporarily, and don't open App on phone.
https://www.foxesscloud.com/v2/login

And check back say in a week/month the App again.
