44098 - Write Failed

Hi,
New user here. I have had the system for less than 1 week and for the first few days all was well. I was using the agile mode for controlling charging. Then the app on my phone upgraded to 2.0 and then 2.2 since then I have been unable to control my system as every time I try to change anything I get 44098 - Write Failed. Looking on here I am not the only one who seems to be having problems with the new app! I am now getting the write failed through the web app too. I am currently stuck on minimum SoC at 95% so my battery is effectively useless.

My first thought on the write failed is to reboot the Inverter. Is this a simple matter of turning of the power supply at the isolator - wait - then turn on? I will steer clear of the phone app if I can get it working and try sticking to the web app.

Any suggestions welcome..
Thanks

Start using the website and delete any active schedules you have, but if you are using Agile mode you are effectively handing control of scheduler to that and whenever scheduler is active you cannot manually set minsoc, maxsoc or change charge periods.

It's made more complicated by the new app as when in scheduler mode it sets a default work mode even if you haven't written any schedules as the scheduler is effectively active all the time - if you set the workmode to Self Use that will de-activate the scheduler or you can also do it on the website and then you will be able to manually control your inverter.

Thanks, I will investigate later.
I hope that I will be able to control via Home Assistant very soon anyway.

Thanks Dave,

You are correct removing all schedules allowed me to gain back control.

So last night I set a simple schedule using mode scheduler (from my phone - maybe that was a mistake at the moment!).
There were just 3 schedules...

10.30 to 11.59 Forced Charge - charge from grid not allowed. (to block the battery whilst heavy loads were on)

0.00 to 2.00 Forced Charge - charge from grid not allowed. (to block the battery whilst heavy loads were on)

2.01 to 6.00 Forced Charge - charge from grid allowed. Charge cut off set to 95%

The schedule seemed to run OK but when I woke up this morning the battery was not powering the home due to the minimum SOC being set at 95%. This seems to happen every time I set any form of schedule - the min SOC gets set to 95%. I have to delete all schedules to enable me to reset the min SOC!

I do have Agile connected but that schedule was off.

I will try again tonight only using my web interface on my laptop.

Whilst I am here can I ask an unrelated question. Is the force charge setting available through the OpenAPI. I am looking for settings that I can use to force charge/block charge from Home Assistant.

Also is this forum official Fox? The adverts on here are very intrusive/annoying and I would not expect an official site to need them.
