Can’t prevent overnight battery charging

I’ve had an installation with a Fox H1-G2 6kW inverter + EP11 battery for more or less an entire year now. Early on, I set the battery to be force charged 00:00-07:00 every night using the ‘Charge From Grid’ settings.
This has worked perfectly, but I’ve reached a point with my import tariff where it’s no longer beneficial to do this. So for the last two weeks I’ve been trying to stop it charging - I can’t do it!
I’ve tried:
- Turning off the Charge From Grid Setting
- Wiping out the times on Charge From Grid even though it’s disabled
- Setting Charge From Grid to be 00:01-00:02
- Modifying the tariff setup in the app in case that was causing ‘intelligent’ behaviour
No matter what I do, including using HA to force a max SOC cap, everything is overridden and it charges from the grid 00:00-07:00.
What am I missing??

If you are running HA, it could be fighting for system control.
Pick either Fox or HA to instruct your system.
If you are still stuck, post back.

There’s nothing HA is doing that is causing the inverter to force charge the battery from 00:00-07:00 - I can see all the related automations and a log of the actions they take, the only thing it’s doing is attempting to stop the charging (by setting a Max SoC cap) which is immediately overridden no matter what time I set it at.

Are you using the v1 or new v2 website to turn off the force charge?
Have you tried directly on the inverter screen (though this could be overwritten later via cloud?)

Bit of an outside chance, but has mode scheduler somehow become enabled for force charge overnight, this would override the legacy "charge from grid" settings.

Originally (last year) I used the mobile app to set up the charge from grid, when I came back this year that setting is now gone from the app. I'm using the v2 cloud to set it now, I can't see the setting in v1.
FWIW both the cloud app and HA agree with the current settings:

Unfortunately not, the mode scheduler is currently empty:
My next move will be to use the mode scheduler to attempt to override this behaviour, but it's really not my preference because it means I'll forever needing to be overriding 00:00-07:00 behaviour (and good luck to the next owner if I ever sell the property...)

There is a factory reset in your inverter menu, but make sure you take pictures of all the settings before you wipe it out if you do.
Should be on Page 44

Looks like the solution is to use “Mode Scheduler”, even if no specific schedule is set. As long as that is enabled, it appears to stop the overnight charge period.
Problem solved/mitigated!

Glad you got something to stick, and if you do sell up, then it should work fine until they gain control.
