Making battery force discharge to a % but letting the house draw on the battery

Hi all
With the sunny weather I have been making a good lot of power. Once my battery is charged I'm selling the excess back to the grid. But come the 4-7pm period the rates are higher.
So I am force discharging at 2500w to 30%. The idea is that once it hits that level it stops exporting, but I'm finding the battery stops supplying the house and if I put the kettle after it drops to the 30% it draws it from the grid at extortionate rates and not the battery.
What's the secret to discharge to the grid to 30% then use the battery for the house?
Thanks
