OLD topic but need a solution

Cant seem to find the right answer please bear with me. Recent install of H1 5Kw inverter with EP12 battery had existing Ohme Ev charger on IOG. The EV has its own consumer unit and cables through the meter box. However with the new install I asked the installer to ensure the home battery didn't discharge to the car if plugged in. If my understanding of how IOG works it provides cheap slot if grid allows and then Ohme charger then schedules charge. Alongside this you get charging overnight regardless from 2330-0530. They initially fitted a second CT but it was not reading the house load correctly so battery wasn't discharging properly. They moved it and that solved that problem but its likely its still going to dump from the battery when a smart charging is active. Installer clearly doesn't know much about it despite me telling them and them agreeing to split it or use CT clamp to avoid the above. In the short term if I plug car in at say 2100 will I risk discharging from battery or would it only do that it a slot appears from Octopus and OHME will then charge. Would I better off stopping work mode at 2130 to 2330 which would stop battery then start charging at 2330 and have car charge is normal way when the slots appear. Hope this makes sense looking for a solution until they can find how to sort the meter box out.

Temporary solutions are:

1. Plug in the car as late as you can each evening, so if the car gets a slot, you won't be long without power if it drains your battery.
2. Force a charge on your Inverter, but IOG slots can change at short notice as you know. (This can get expensive if you time this wrong)
3. Set a timer in the car if possible to block the charging times to 23:30 to 05:30 (watch Octopus don't kick you off if you skip too many smart charges)

The more permanent ways to sort:
4. Henley blocks to split the mains and place the CT Clamps in the correct places.
5. Consider Home Assistant, so you can catch the random IOG slots and charge house battery, and gives you a lot better control... adding things like Predbat to maximise your income.
