What is the furthest recommended distance between battery & inverter?

Been told battery can’t go in loft so that kind of limits my options now and so I’m looking at having EP12 Plus outdoors, at the back.

Allowing for a neat run of cabling to keep it as discrete as possible, I’m guessing about 20m of cable max. Same applies for data cable.

I think the battery comes with 3m cables. What are people doing in these scenarios?
Are there longer or extension cables available?

Fox will only warranty 3 metre battery lengths, however (at least in the UK), if your installer uses oversized cables that demonstrate the voltage loss is overcome by the oversizing and confirms it with Fox they will accept it.

Thank you.
What is it that would be impacted by warranty, the voltage drop or the entire battery itself (due to using none spec/standard cabling)?

I've been told that it is the battery warranty they won't cover using standard cables over 3m - using much heavier cable should and a few calcs by your installer to prove the design to them should enable them to approve it.
