I have an EVO 10-10-H and am using a time of use tariff (Cosy Octopus) which has three really cheap periods in the day, some medium, and a really expensive peak time. I'm able to use Mode Scheduler to make the most of this and my solar.
My question is, is there a way for me to easy manage the different settings that seem to be necessary to make the most of this in different seasons? In winter, I need to use Force Charge to top up enough to avoid using power in the expensive periods because Self-Use appears to have a fixed 1.05kw charging rate, and I can't rely on much solar generation. (Side note - I wish they let you adjust this charging power, since this would basically make Force Charge redundant, and Force Charge is a pain for never allowing export even at 100% SoC.) In Summer, my heat pump usage is much lower so this power limit isn't a problem and I can use self-use all day. My changing balance of load through the year means adjusting thresholds fairly often to make the most of my generation and off-peak tariffs.
Does anyone have a similar situation and a solution that doesn't involve frequent attention to settings? I did try AI mode for a couple of days but it was horrendous - even though I have input my tariff, it loved discharging in the peak time so I deemed it not ready
