Hi all,

I am new to this community and so far did not find an answer to my challenges in integrating the HACS Modbus integration.

I have purchased the FOXESS Ethernet Modbus adapter. I have identified the right IP address and configured the Modbus integration. Never the less I get the error

Error reading registers. Type: RegisterType.HOLDING; start: 31000; count: 30; slave: 247 from tcp://192.168.1.53:502: Modbus Error: [Input/Output] Modbus Error: [Invalid Message] No response received, expected at least 8 bytes (0 received)

Is there any advice what I am doing wrong?

Many thanks
Ben

It sounds like you aren't connected to the inverter properly. It could be a configuration or wiring issue. How did you make the connection and what battery/ inverter do you have?

I just recognized today, that the ethernet comm adapter does not fully support RS485.
