FoxESS AIO-H3-10.0 issues

Hi,

I have a FoxESS AIO-H3-10.0 and I'm experiencing problems with some appliances, especially motor loads, when the house is running from the battery/EPS output.

My loads are:

Vinar VSPM 25-26 water pump – 0.75 kW
ProCraft NM-2100 electric lawn mower – 1.4 kW
Dnipro-M GL-125S angle grinder – 0.95 kW
Philips Series 3300 coffee machine – 1.5 kW

The water pump is the main problem. Although its rated power is only 750 W, the AIO-H3 has difficulty when the pump starts while operating from battery/EPS.

I would expect a 10 kW inverter to handle these relatively small loads, so I'm wondering if this is related to motor starting current, single-phase load limitations, EPS overload capability, or firmware/settings.

Has anyone experienced similar issues with the AIO-H3-10.0?

Is there anything that can be changed in the inverter settings or firmware to improve motor starting capability?

I would also be interested to know whether newer FoxESS models such as H3 Pro handle these loads better while remaining compatible with the existing FoxESS batteries.

Thanks!

I don't have direct experience.

I would likely suspect that it's the motor start current, perhaps the water pump is old and worn, and this would increase the initial inrush current.

Any way to check what exact load was cause an issue

I wouldn't think the coffee machine would be an issue, it would be 1-3 motor devices that are causing the trouble. So you could test each one to see if that trips things out with the inrush current.

That's about as far as I can help. Maybe Dave/Will would know if any settings can be looked at/adjusted.

I thought the same, but it has :D
Also oficial response from fox ukraine was - it's ok for this invertor. But to be honest I want to see some logs or something. To understand what voltage can be a problem. To understand what I should do next

Time to get some wood to heat up water for coffee :D

There is an older video from Will where he explains all of the various menu items, perhaps you are correct in thinking that the Voltage drops below an inverter limit set. Does the inverter not show any fault codes when it falls over?

Video of all the menu choices, maybe something will jump out to you that could be worth adjusting?

It's difficult to be sure without measuring the load using a high speed scanner to know for sure, a faulty or older pump would have a higher startup current than you see on its rating plate.

Fox publish a table as part of their manual that gives the typical expectations for different loads, for indictive loads such as that you could easily be 5 (or more) times over powered at startup.

An H3-10 would be 3.3kw per phase max and in EPS mode you don't have the grid to fall back to so you would be limited by the EPS maximum current per phase of 14.5A

Yes, need qualified engineer in my case.

Ok maybe someone knows - am I able to replace just invertor in this system?
And leave only batteries
