couldn't find much in-depth about the way FoxESS use AI other than it looks at the weather-forecast, usage and tariffs.
Does anyone know what AI-model, FoxESS is using? I think it's still in beta as it says in the app.
I live in the Netherlands and as per 1-1-2027 the net-metering scheme here will end. So that means no more revenue from exporting solar/power to the grid (in a nutshell
).I was wondering if the AI would take this in consideration after 1-1-2027 that the law here has changed and it really isn't profitable to export power then. Besides that, I am not 'in it for the money'. My main goal here is to be as self-sufficient as possible with what I have, so that means the AI has to be smart about this.
I've been using the AI-mode for almost 2 weeks now and there was a bit of learning curve here for the AI but it seems it's getting better and better. Charging in the night when it's cheap and when there's a cloudy forecast etc. Would still be nice to have some control over it as in giving some preferences or setting some main goals like some ground rules from a user perspective.
