Last night about 8pm, by chance I looked at the mobile Foxess app. It showed the battery discharging 1.45kW with 800W going to the house and 650W to the grid. The battery was about 53% SOC.
That is weird because nothing should be exported at that time and the usual house demand is about 350W when nothing is being used, even the TV was off at that time.
I noticed the app offered new firmware for the H1 G2. Master 1.61, Manager 1.82. I updated the firmware and the battery discharge returned to what seemed normal.
I usually wait to see if other folk have updated the firmware before doing mine.
Could that just be a glitch in the app causing a false reading or is there another explanation?
It’s just a timing glitch, if a larger appliance turns off just before the data sample is taken you see strange import/export figures but only for a short period - some appliances such as infrared heaters and induction hobs play havoc with the display as they continually switch on and off. Rather than the real time information, your statistics will show the true picture of usage.
