I have a newly installed Fox ESS H1 G2 3.68kW 1ph Hybrid Inverter and a Fox ESS EP12 Plus Li-Ion battery.

I am looking to protect the house in order to have power if there is a grid outage.

Is it a difficult job to install a Fox Gateway into the setup?

It’s not so much difficult as reasonably technically complex and will likely need your earthing arrangements reviewed i.e. when the grid is disconnected with most earthing arrangements you can lose your earth and it requires an earth rod to be fitted.

You will need a good electrician and preferably one who is well versed with solar systems.

I should mention as well as the Fox gateway, there is another 3rd party provider that is highly recommended and they may be able to help with knowledgeable installers the link is here https://www.eco-ess.co.uk/automatic-ch ... r-systems/
