Batery not charging on forced charge period set in mode sheduler work mode.

I'd set the charge period in the spring, when that could be set from quick settings. I realized that I wouldn't be able to do that again, when the clocks changed back, but I saw where the mode schedule controls were and didn't see the point in setting the period to what it was, and left it till now. So I've set the forced charge time in the mode scheduler to 00:30 to 07:30, to match the night rate on Octopus' version of economy 7. However, the battery hasn't charged since.
Well, that's not quite correct. It did charge from 05:30 to 07:30 on the Sunday morning after I made the change on Saturday night. But It's not charged since. I have reset the system, shut down the battery, shut down the inverter, waited a minute or so till it all went dark, restarted the inverter, and restarted the battery. That was Yesterday [Wednesday] evening. What did happen immediately was that the system charged the battery, which had fallen to 10% charge, up to the SoC self use minimum of 15%. But, it's now passed 00:30 on Thursday and the battery is still not force charging. I don't recall looking before, but the system diagram on the dashboard is now showing the battery as offline, despite it did, briefly, get topped up immediately after the reset.
I'm sure I saw something somewhere about the battery will charge from the grid in force charge mode, if that is enabled, But I can't see where that feature can be enabled and disabled. I do realize that I should have done all this in the summer, when it would have be a much less expensive problem.
The inverter is identified in devices as H1, Model: AC1-5.0-E. The battery pack is Model: ECS4300. I don't seem to be able to locate a user manual for the ECS4300 battery, though I have one for the H1 AC1 inverter.
What is it I'm missing in getting it going?
