New PowerQ system, can't connect via WiLAN dongle.

I just bought this system and am really impressed with it, except for one thing.
I can't connect to the hub to see the values. Tried everything.
The dealer was here this afternoon and he wasn't able to connect as well.
He thinks it is the wiLAN dongle that is bad, but i am afraid it could also be the hub.
His brother came once a week ago and he was able to connect; I saw values on my tablet for about 5 seconds and thought all was fixed. When he was gone it was not possible to re-connect. I tried several ways with no avail. Being no means an expert, I am a retired electronics technician by trade and have always built my own computer systems, so not a complete beginner. But I am obviously a Newbee to solar electronics, anyone have any ideas of something to try? Does a new dongle going bad sound plausible? Or has anyone had problems with the hub initially?
The hub is only used for communications I believe, the output of my solar system that was installed does not even go through it. As soon as this system works, I would like to get Home Assistant and connect to that system, likely via RS485. As a second question, is RS485 the best way to communicate with PowerQ, or are there advantages to using WiLan via the Hub?
Any ideas will be appreciated,
Sincerely,
Dan
