PQ1 and Home Assistant local control

Hi
(Apologies for similar post in Home Assistant topic the other day, but posting here now as might be more likely to get a response)

I'm a fairly advanced Home Assistant user, considering buying a PQ1 with solar, battery and house backup. I've previously owned a GivEnergy system with similar capabilities, using its internal WiFi for Modbus over TCP.

What's the recommended route for local control of the PQ1 with Home Assistant? By the looks of it there's an ethernet port on the PQ1, can that connect to my network and give me Modbus over TCP? Are you aware of any existing Home Assistant integrations for the PQ1 using this method? Failing that is there decent PQ1 documentation that shows the modbus commands for full, real-time local control of all aspects, as well as monitoring of key parameters including house power, battery power, PV power and inverter/battery temps?

I'm not particularly interested in the built-in timeslots, I'm more interested in real-time control, and I'll use HA to make the decisions to charge/discharge etc.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Jonathan

To the best of my knowledge there isn’t a working solution yet for the PQ1 as it is so new, but there was a post on the github foxess modbus page where somebody had started to look at it, might be worth checking in on that page to see what progress is being made - see here https://github.com/nathanmarlor/foxess_ ... ssues/1274
