44098 Write Error
My solar system has degenerated into a complete farce - six or more breaker trips a day, unreliable export which stops for no apparent reason and virtually zero alarms on the system. I am slowly concluding that either last software updates to the latest build are a complete POS, or I have major ...

Re: Batteries not being charged overnight ?
It appears to be 2.004 ( Version_BMS) ?
EDIT - the system has been stable and woking for six months so while it could be software, it generally only becomes a software issue is something changes, and nothing has changed since installation ?

Re: Batteries not being charged overnight ?
Software updates - Master and ARM now the most recent versions after (another)reboot.
Slave however is at 1.02 and battery is again offline !
I know its 'not there' as the animated graphic on the web portal has zero activity whereas usually it shows at least some power in or out, even if 0.001 kW

I cant help you with a solution, but I had it happen recently - in fact only a few days ago.

Like you, a battery reset (I did the whole system) solved it. I am hoping to get the system software updated next week.

Re: Batteries not being charged overnight ?
Thank you.
Two restarts and its now working.
I realised that on the first restart, I had not held the little silver button on the batteries long enough to kick the batteries back to life. As soon as I did that, the system started charging.

Re: Batteries not being charged overnight ?
Thank you for the link to the video - the system was rebooted this morning and came back up, web portal showing usage but sadly, batteries still not being used.
I guess I will have to wait until Monday for Fox to do their thing
This is the error log due to the reboot.

You are correct - nothing has changed for a month or more.

Batteries not being charged overnight ?
I noticed on my App, and confirmed on the web portal that the batteries didnt charge overnight on the cheap Octopus tariff (I usually charge only between 0200 and 0315).

Re: Help with setting up forced export
Our installer set up the forced export for us earlier in the month, but it seemed to result in us also importing far more than usual, so we turned it off again!
That suggests that you are exporting so much of your battery capacity, that there isnt enough left to run your household. Also, if you ...

Re: PV Panel output power capped
I'm currenlty working with the installers to find out why they spec'd an inverter only capable of handling 72% of the PV panel max output.
My personal perspective is that where I live in the UK, the chances of getting the solar panels running at near 100% capacity for any length of time, is ...

Clocks went forward - or did they ?
My recharge time on Octopus is 0200 for an hour.
My discharge time is from 1600 until the battery hits its force discharge minimum.
The App confirms this - nothing has changed there.
The front panel of the inverter shows the time as 0807 so that appears to have changed

Re: Load is low, but some grid power is still being used?
I always see trickle grid usage even when batteries are full. I put it down to a combination of the accuracy of the systems not being 100% and that the smart meter itself runs off the grid and cannot pull from the battery.

Battery SoC graph ?
Hi,
Is it possible to get the battery SoC state graph available on the web version of the portal ?
All I have is a an icon with its percentage state b ut not how it alters through time - which the App does quite well, but is too small to see the detail.

Re: App update: all data streams dead
Mine died off this morning around 11.30, came back 45 minutes ago and has gone again - all zero'd out, on both App and web interface.
I checked on my phone and theres an App update awaiting so I set that going. No change after update so I guess its their back end thats the issue.

Okay, I am changed over to Octopus and had confirmation that I am on the Flux Import tariff and today they asked for the startup meter reading on the Export side which has duly been provided.
I've been online and confirmed that they now have me able to export and all their checks have passed.

Re: Using grid when batteries are full or quite full ?
Thank you again. I found the manual for the electric showers and they are indeed 9kW showers, which explains all.
i played around with some numbers and even doubling the battery storage wouldnt get to the 9kW and the constraunt appears to be the 40A inverter figure. I also looked at the data sheets ...

Re: Using grid when batteries are full or quite full ?
Thank you - a very concise answer - much appreciated.
So would it be your belief that the batteries are being used in the first instance and its the balance thats coming from the grid and showing up - or that unless you can get close to 100% from the battery/inverter, the grid will come first ?

Scheduler is set and the batteries are charging to full capacity at the end of the charging period.
