Hi, I’m very new to the world of solar and Ev, so please bear with me.
I’m using the octopus import/export plan and looking to time both my car charging and battery charging to occur at the cheapest time (currently 02:00 - 05:00). I’m using the mode schedule for the house battery to charge over night and to discharge if >30% back to the grid during the peak export time - this is working. Unfortunately I cannot get the schedule function in the EV charger to work. I read somewhere that if you use the mode schedule, the schedule function does not work. Is that also true for the EV charger?
Advice very welcome.
Below is my current mode schedule:

I probably cannot help greatly, but if you provide the details of your charger/car that would maybe assist others in replying?
I only got an EV yesterday, and it wouldn't charge until I unlocked charger (Zappi) after being plugged in.
Also on a side note, perhaps you need to look at getting a better tariff as you might get a large electric bill.

The charger is a fox charger - I believe the L model. The car is an id.buzz.
I’m going to try to get the car to schedule rather than the fox software to see if I can get the desired effect of both car and home battery charging at the cheap rates.
As for tariffs - I was considering one of the Ev tariffs, but I have the luxury of charging the car at work, and wanted to be able to sell excess solar energy back to the grid (obviously not great at the moment with no sun in the UK).
Once I’ve run for a few months will revisit tariffs.
If anyone has successfully used the Ev scheduler in the app at the same time as the module scheduler it would be good to know.

I’ve still not got the foxess software to control the schedule for the EV charger. However I have managed to achieve what I want by timing the charge from the car software instead..
I’d like to understand what the expected behaviour is of the platform. This is my observation:
1. Set the schedule
2. Plug in the car
3. If I press start charging - the Ev charger immediately starts to charge (is that expected?)
4. If I don’t press start charge, the car does not charge at all.
