Mode Scheduler
Hi Community. Can someone help me understand the settings in the Mode Scheduler. Here is what I am trying to achieve....
Between 11am-4pm I want the battery to always remain above 60%SOC. If the battery drops below 60% I want to force charge from the mains until it gets to 80%SOC. When it reaches 80%SOC, it should revert back to normal (Self-Use mode). What are the settings to make this happen?

Re: Mode Scheduler
The mode scheduler doesn't quite give you that ability, but, you can set a work mode of Backup with minSoC of 60% and it will hold the battery at 60% top charging if needed, or you can set your inverter to Self-Use with a minSoC of 60% which it will maintain that and any excess solar will go into the battery, or you can set your inverter to Feed-in with a minSoC of 60% and it will maintain that with excess solar going to the grid.

You could add into that mix setting MaxSoC to 80% but the results can be a bit random depending on your firmware versions, and sometimes it results in your PV production being shut down when it reaches maxsoc... not what you want.

To get that granular ability you would need to setup a home assistant which allows you to control most inverter functions even complex ones.
Re: Mode Scheduler
I am on the web version 2. It will not allow me to place 60% in the "Min SOC on grid" field.

I get an error.

Re: Mode Scheduler
There have been a few changes in firmware recently, what are your inverter master/manager(ARM) versions ?.

The Fox app is typically the best place to try this (the V2 website still being developed), failing that the Energy Stats app by Al Priest is used by thousands of users and generally ‘just works’.
Re: Mode Scheduler
Thanks Dave.
I have tried v1 web site, v2 web site and the mobile app.
They all behaved differently but none actually worked.
The mobile app is the worst of all them. Once you input the settings there is no way to undo them. You must use the v2 to undo them.
Basically - I have given up because all the software (PC and mobile) is rubbish.

BTW - I am a technical person, and develop mobile apps for a business. The Fox Cloud software is a typical half-arsed Chinese built system that I see often. It was probably coded using A.I. :)
Re: Mode Scheduler
Yep, it's definitely frustrating, feels like multiple developers not using source controls..

A lot of the recent changes are issues because they changed the way FDSoC / FDPwr worked in the inverter - but it broke the app/websites depending on which firmware you are using.

As a rule, avoid the V2 website and use the app as the V2 website is playing catch up - all of that said the Energy Stats app uses the OpenApi which does generally work and i'd recommend getting that and trying it, Al Priest is an experienced developer and a community member here and works hard to keep it simple.

It's likely this will be resolved if you update to the latest firmware, but do definitely try Energy Stats.
