Scheduling Grid Purchase by Day of the Week
Hello FoxESS Community,

I would like to ask if there is any possibility to schedule grid purchase not only by specific hours, but also by days of the week.

Currently, within the portal/system, I can schedule grid purchase for certain hours, for example from 6:00 AM to midnight, and have another behavior for self-consumption during other hours. However, I cannot set different behaviors for weekdays versus weekends, such as:

Monday to Friday: behavior A from 6:00 AM to midnight

Saturday and Sunday: behavior B for the same or different hours

From what I can see in the system, it only allows hour-based schedules, not schedules separated by days of the week.

I would like to know:

Is there any firmware that already supports this?

Has this feature been suggested to the developers, or is it planned for future updates?

The reason for this request is that in some countries, such as Portugal, there are weekly time-of-use tariffs, where electricity prices are lower at specific hours during weekdays and different hours during weekends. It would be very convenient to be able to schedule grid purchase automatically according to these variations, rather than adjusting it manually each day.

Thank you in advance for any guidance or information!

Agree this would be a good idea but we’re currently a way off this at the moment - i’m pretty sure Fox want to deploy those features but there’s a lot of work to do in the app, the V2 website and their data centres first.

I’ll mention the home assistant word as when connected to the inverter over modbus, it would allow you to control the inverter in very granular detail, taking days of the week, solar forecast and local tariffs into account - if you’re prepared to invest the time in one of those it’s available now.
