Finally got to speak to someone at Fox, they said they would update the EP11 battery from 1.009 to 1.011 as that was the latest released version in the UK, they would update the W6 data logger from V1.06 , my ticket would be updated and someone would be in touch. Battery was indeed updated to 1.011 and then the next day I noticed it was update again to version 0.012. The data logger hasn't been updated yet. No-one has been in touch.
I also notice that my mode scheduler has been updated to a weird set of schedules, this is coming from the Octopus Intelligent Flux Pilot I recently signed up for, and may make it harder to see if the issue re-occurs
I have just completed a very basic Kingspan insulated surround for mine, after the continuing issues with heating .. to see if that will sort out the temperature without having to use the heater
Maybe just the image, but looks a very big box for an EP11/12
It works best when the insulation is fairly snug to the battery, any large internal air gap will see the temp fall away, learnt this through experience.
That said it’s a garage, so will have the obvious advantage of being draught free

I read, somewhere, that's it recommended to leave a 30 gap around it for airflow
Yes agreed, that’s the need for summer airflow,
In the winter temps you are never going to reach a level to damage the battery
As soon as temps rise and battery cell temps stay consistently higher, then remove the covers

I see that EP battery BMS 1.012 fw is showing as production release of today.
It will be interesting to see if it’s resolved the battery warming issue.

Have been running v1.012 on mine, since Fox update the firmware .. and there still seems to be issues .. in that the battery cannot warm under its own power (if batter above 40%)
Mine is on "V0.012" which I guess is the pre-release version of V1.012, since I called Fox and they installed it as an update from V1.009 , I can confirm it is literally as I type currently actively warming with > 40%
