Anyone come across this issue?
Cannot update anything, neither to new or existing software versions.
KH9.9 Inverter

Slave: 1.02

Created a Fox ticket but they don’t reply
Do you have installer access to load the new FW?
And have you tried a full shutdown sequence with power off for 30s before trying again?
Fox Support tickets can vary depending on how you made it, and what Country.
I tried in the past to make a ticket via the App, and it went into a black hole basically. When I emailed UK support directly, I was issued an automatic ticket number within a minute and answered in around 2-3 working days.
Sadly, for some people in different Countries the support can be lacking. So it can sometimes pay to call them up direct.

Scroll down for Global Service Contacts, and either call your region HQ or email directly.

Thanks, yes I have an agent account. Unable to install existing, new or old software on battery or inverter.
The only software that will update is the data logger which I can load the same existing firmware.
Yes have turned inverter and battery off until screen goes blank twice with no change.

Maybe if Fox do reply, they can send you a FW bin file so you can load via USB.
IIRC this is an option if all else fails.
Did you email support, and if yes, did you receive automated Ticket number?

No I haven’t emailed support yet, did in app ticket and asked in Foxess WhatsApp group in my country with no reply.
Try and send an email to your local region, and I hope you get automated ticket.
Be sure to include serial numbers for your hardware.
I found this guide on update via USB2.0 stick, you maybe needing this if they cannot do this remotely.

I have experienced this issue, I suspect it occurs when the central database does not get full acknowledgement from the inverter that a previous update has completed successfully. In foxesscloud v2->upgrades it will show as an update still in the "upgrading" state. As you have found this inhibits the ability to perform further inverter or battery upgrades, it does not affect updates to the datalogger as that is upstream in the comms chain.
I know the importance of a stable connection to the logger for updates but this happened with a fibre wan connection and the wifi signal showing as good.
It required intervention from FoxESS support (email sent to the local support address, as requests from the app seem to disappear) and now updates are able to be performed again although the "stuck" update still shows in foxesscloud v2.
Out of interest which firmware update caused this to occur.

Thank you for your additional input, most appreciated. Hopefully it can be recovered without needing to resort to USB stick.nrb501 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 12, 2026 4:03 pm I have experienced this issue, I suspect it occurs when the central database does not get full acknowledgement from the inverter that a previous update has completed successfully.
