No battery scheduling in app
In the new app, there doesn't appear to be any way of scheduling my battery to charge, either via the Force Charge or Mode Scheduler functions. Both seem to be missing.
I've also tried to find these functions via the website, but had no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Re: No battery scheduling in app
The easiest app to use is Energy Stats by Al Priest, not least it doesn’t change every 5 minutes.

If you have the latest version of the Fox app, click on Workmode, then click on the 2 arrows on the left hand side of the current workmode, that will let you change workmode or access the Scheduler at the bottom of the page.

This video gives you a useful insight into how to set it up https://youtu.be/jhohbmt0U_w?si=kq7JfemL82McZVq7

Thanks Dave - that's really helpful. Any thoughts as to what I can do about the existing Forced Change window that I can no longer access/change?
Re: No battery scheduling in app
Can Energy Stats be set up my someone who's technologically hopeless?!?
Re: No battery scheduling in app
The moment you set a scheduler force charge it will clear any old legacy charge periods.

Once you have mastered getting an api-key from the old Fox website it’s very easy to setup.

The app should guide you through that, but basically you have to create an api_key in the Fox cloud by logging into the ‘old’ website, click on the picture of a person in the top right corner, select user profile, click api_management and then generate an api_key.

The key it gives you you must copy and save somewhere as it won’t show it you again and so if you lose it, you have to generate a new one again. Add the key to the Energy Stats app and thats it.

Will has a video to walk you through the steps in the FoxCloud2.0 App

Are you saying the settings are missing?

https://www.foxesscloud.com/v2/login
In here, you press Quick settings (in purple) top right, and mode scheduler is at the bottom for Charge/Discharge

Try these again if the other methods seem to complex

Brilliant - thanks for all the guidance. That'll keep me busy tomorrow.

Yes MB48, the Force Charge settings are missing. I have a screenshot but can't see how to post it.

Hello,
I have a Givenergy battery with 2 Fox Inverters. Can I add the battery to the Fox Cloud app or is the battery not compatible. Thank you.

Any updates on this? I miss the force charge button too. I cannot schedule the force charge regarding a price drop - happens not always to the same time. I contacted the support too with an unsufficent answer to steer it per scheduler. That wasn´t a good improvment with the new version. Unfortunately I lost the ability to set the force charge per modbus. Nothing happens. :/

If you just want the basic timed charge settings, then you can see this post I just made.

1st way is the App method, at the bottom you have the 2nd way, which is via the website.

Alternatively, investigate why Modbus has stopped working for you.
Re: No battery scheduling in app
Hi, I checked the video you shared and set it like mentioned in the video. In most cases the self use works fine for me. I just get through the dark times with the battery. But some days - right now - there isn´t enough solar power to cover the daily load and charge the battery for the night hours. And exactly on this day it decide in regards to the price to force the charge by just setting the mode. To set the plant to a stativ schedule makes for me no sense. Sometimes the price is low and sometime "unsexy" to load during the scheduled timeframe. I m just a little bit sad that I lost the freedom to decide by myselft "now force charge".
And sorry for make it not clear. Modbus is working find. But the same behavior. I set in the homeassistant to force charge but nothing happens. It only works when I set in the webportal the allowed hours for charging. This was changed during the last weeks. Before - without settting a charge windows - I m able to set the plant just to force change and it means force charge. Exactly the word force makes the difference. All other options just only mean charge - not force!
