How to overcome the MinSoC changing on it's own - v2.x app bug Feb 2026
SYMPTOMS: The system Min SOC On Grid will change itself to some other SoC than set by the user. Setting it back to the desired value does not last long. This may also be the case for Power.

CAUSE: When Mode Schedules are set in the new app, it creates a Self Use mode that runs from 00:00 to 23:59. This Self Use Mode appears to inherit all the parameters of the first activity in the schedule. As a consequence, the system values are updated to match the first activity values once the scheduled activities complete. For example, if the system Min Soc was 10% before the schedule was started, and the schedule activity (say Forced Discharge) Min SoC is 40%, the Self Use activity created will now have a Min SoC of 40% and will update the system SoC to 40% once the Forced Discharge finishes.

SOLUTION:
Disable your schedules in the app by changing the Mode Scheduler to Self Use.
Update you Min SoC and other system settings through Quick Settings.
Now log into the V1 web interface, then click on Device>Inverter>Operation. The screen (pic 1) will come up. Then click on the icon circled in red.
The screen shown in pic 2 will appear. You will see a Self Use Mode running from 00:00 to 23:59. It will most likely have the spurious SoC in it, and you can't edit it. Delete it with the - icon.
Then add two new activities. One starting at 00:00 and ending when your first one start, and the second when your activity finishes and running to 23:59
Select Forced Discharge as the mode and change the FD SoC and FD power to your system settings.
The change the work mode to Self Use. These two will now grey out.
Hit Save, and then go back into the app to check that are the same.

This is not possible in the app as the FD values are not accessible with the Self Use mode.

With thanks to Andrew Lovell for doing the hard work
