Version 2.2 and Octopus Agile tariffs - system not charging
On Octopus Agile tariff for importing only ( forced discharge/export is turned off currently ). Prior to software upgrade last night, I chose slots to import electricity by price.
SO TODAY, with version 2.2, I followed Will’s video and uploaded the octopus agile tariff using account number and API. Batteries are now not charging whether price per slot, or cheapest ‘x’ slots are selected. Furthermore, ‘Charge Power from Grid’ defaults to 0 W after every time it tells me it has confirmed the selection, plus the next line states ‘charge power from grid:disabled’.

The Octopus Agile Tariff feature had previous worked successfully on version 2.

Any suggestions to get my batteries charging again, please?

Sorry, missed your post.

What happens if you use the website for control?

I would recommend if you do try to set via website, that you DO NOT open the phone App for the time being, it might be trying to program in duff settings. If this begins to work for a few days, you can open phone App once it has been updated.
Re: Version 2.2 and Octopus Agile tariffs - system not charging
Just wanted to confirm I’m experiencing the same issues with the 2.2.1 app. I’ve simply gone to using the Mode Scheduler rather using the octopus Agile settings. Very frustrating.
Re: Version 2.2 and Octopus Agile tariffs - system not charging
Thanks both.
(1) I tried the online desktop version but could not see how to programme my EV charger in advance. I am on octopus agile rather than a GO tariff so need flexibility to turn off/off.
(2) I found a relatively easy workaround for matching agile charging periods ( for house battery ). I choose to use the 10 lowest priced half hour periods. Each evening I go to work mode and set each inverter to octopus agile. I edit each mode to accept the 10 lowest-priced charging periods. After saving, I then change the work mode to mode scheduler. I edit each inverter’s schedule and note that the charge periods now match the octopus agile periods I had just accepted. I enable each of the charging periods individually ( since the cheapest periods are often consecutive this usually means enabling just 2 or 3 batches). And then select ‘self care’ for the remaining periods - option is at the bottom of the page and needs to be updated every time. Then submit/save/confirm.

It’s irritating but takes a minute each evening. And it works. However, it could be done automatically if software developers chose to prioritise it.
