Home Assistant with Home Assistant Green
Hi, my name is Remco and I’m new to this forum.

I’m not completely technically skilled, but I do know a thing or two and I’m looking for some help. I realize I probably should have thoroughly gone through the entire forum, but I haven’t done that completely. So it’s possible I may have missed something. In any case, I haven’t been able to find what I’m looking for. My apologies in advance for that.

I recently purchased a FoxESS battery because I find it very interesting, and I had the opportunity to buy what I believe is a high-quality, solid, and safe battery at a reduced price. I decided to do this because I also have solar panels and would like to store some of the generated power.

The setup:
Fox Ess ECS4800 – 10 kWh
H3-10.0-Smart and EPS module
15 AEG 325W solar panels with Enphase – AC-coupled
Enphase panels → microinverters → AC

I would like to gain more insights and for that reason I want to run Home Assistant, preferably in the easiest way possible using Home Assistant Green. https://www.home-assistant.io/installat ... tion-types

My question is whether I only need the Home Assistant Green to connect the battery relatively easily, or if more is required, and what the experiences are. Or could someone point me in the right direction with the correct link?

I’m a beginner and trying to get the most out of the battery.

Re: Home Assistant with Home Assistant Green
As you have the H3 Smart, you only need a device to host Home Assistant. The Home Assistant Green is a great choice.
As your inverter has a built in modbus server you don't need any extra hardware. Simply enter the inverters ip address into the foxess modbus integration and it will all work.

I demo it here:
