Forced charge not working correctly
Hi I have had my epp12 x 2 batteries for nearly two weeks. Yesterday I contacted fox as I did not have the battery warming option on my app. They updated the software on inverter and I’ve got it and the instant update.

However last night the noticed my battery was discharging at the forced charge period. It seemed that all of a sudden the max that could be imported to the whole house was 9kw. So my ev was charging at 7kw and other devices were on. When these dropped below 9 the battery started charging again.
But this morning I’ve only got a 40% charge.

This has never happened before and usually during my cheap period I’ve had peaks of 16kw with the battery charging at 5KW and the eat 7 and immersion at 3 etc.
please help

Re: Forced charge not working correctly
If you open the FoxCloud2.0 App, Quick Settings... there you can see the Import/Export rates (cannot change values)
Just report the values back please.

Re: Forced charge not working correctly
Input too low, I bet you suspected that would be the case.

Here is how to adjust.

Depending on your house fuse rating, this is your example value
Volts x Amps = Watts
230 x 80 = 18400 Watts

If you have a G99 for your install, you can get the values from that.

Re: Forced charge not working correctly
Thanks so much. I was told that only the installer could change the input value.
I’ll try hey when I get back later. Thanks again.
Do you think that the update reset it?

Correct only they can change it, but since they often leave the values on defaults or duff values go ahead.
It is very rare that they change the default passcode.

My export was set to 3600W, by my installer, as you can see I am allowed 3900W, so I went and changed it.

During firmware upgrades, yes values can be changed if Fox baked new defaults into the code, catches a few out.

I suggest you look for and check your G99 (guessing this is what you have) for your Import/Export rates before you adjust.

How have you found your new system, I bet you are pleased seeing all the numbers go brrrrr in the Sunshine

Can you check your battery firmware levels, as if they are too low then the heater controls will exist (via Inverter FW) but the batteries won't heat up. IIRC you need at least v1.009 minimum.
