Hi,
I've successfully managed to got Home Assistant to read info from my EVO 10-5-H via a modbus wifi adapter, but I'm struggling to control force charge/discharge. There doesn't seem to be a Force Charge option which has been mentioned elsewhere on the forum for other inverters, and I can't set the work mode to Force Charge - it returns the error "Failed to perform the action select/select_option. unknown error". Looking through some documentation it would appear that Force Charge and Force Discharge aren't valid write options via modbus? Other work modes can be set successfully.
Has anyone had success with force charge on the EVO, either via modbus or via the Fox Cloud API?
Thanks
Matt
I managed to get mine to force charge by using the "update charge period" service exposed by the Modbus integration. When my car charger status changes to "charging", i enable charge period 1 (between 00:00 - 23:59) and enable force charging from grid. When the charger status changes to something else, i disable charge period 1 completely.
The bit I am struggling with now is force discharging my battery into the grid between 22:30 and 23:30 if there is any juice left. It seems to be impossible to set the "force discharge" mode using the HA integration on the EVO batteries.
