Mix an Match EP generations
Anyone got experience on mixing EP11 and EP12 heated batteries? Looking to add a second battery and I read from the specs these can be mixed, just wondering if anyone has practical experience?
Re: Mix an Match EP generations
No practical experience, but all I was told by my installers was to get one before 2 years so they age better.
And on install day, make sure that the old one is around 50% SoC give or take.

I guess you use a fair bit of juice during the day?

Coming up for a year since my system was installed. I’ve got 33x450w panels and use around 15-20kw on an average day depending on time of year. During the winter the battery tend to run out around tea time

EP12 add to existing EP11. Seems to working ok. I kept the EP11 as the master.

I thought I would have to add the battery in the app or website, the serial number was not accepted. However it seems to gets added as a slave under the existing battery, which although it still show as an EP11 it has the higher capacity.

Is there anything I've done wrong or is this what others see with multiple batteries?
