About two weeks ago, the Foxess app said there were firmware updates to the Manager and Master DSP, which I have done. I have looked here for the release notes:
https://fox-ess.tech/firmware-release-notes/
The release notes are still not showing. I appreciate that it says it can several days to appear, but should it take two weeks?
I suspect it's above 4 weeks, and then that's not exactly a definite on when they release this.
TBF they have done a heck of a lot so far this year, so better than no release notes

Yes agreed, it is good to be able to do this via the app and get release notes. Far easier than contacting the installer and getting them to check. In my case my installer is no longer doing domestic work.....so unwilling to help.
It would be nice to get release notes in App, or if they must use the website... how about posting them when the FW is available and not later (how can you make an informed decision at the time?)
I raised the issue by leaving a voicemail on the UK support website.
Much to my surprise, I received a call from Foxess support in China. Kai Xu confirmed by email, that the release notes will be updated soon and that future release notes will appear in the app as a pop-up. That is good news.

Anyone installing updated firmware is taking a leap of faith and step into the dark at present with Fox.
Fox have had a number of issues with fw updates that have caused issues.
No developer would normally release fw without full backward compatibility testing and documentation.
Not saying they have not fully tested it, but if they have, then they will have all the documentation needed to publish.
From the tech world I come from, making changes without documentation and some form of comfort testing is a complete no no and sometimes a job ending move, unless it’s an emergency situation where the risks are calculated.
My advice is don’t upgrade until you know what the supposed changes are, and don’t forgot, sticking your head bone the parapet can be a very costly mistake, but there will be someone that will do it for you.
It it ain’t broke, don’t rush to fix something……….
