So, would like to say I did do a search through the forums and LOTS of threads appeared on Axle Energy, but could not see relating to my query, if there is a thread, would appreciate if someone could share
So, my question is .. just signed up (today) with Axle Energy and wondering how people are configuring with Home Assistant. I have select the "Event Only" mode, as did not want them to have full control
I have not initiated a session yet (not been notified yet), however, I am trying to figure out, how to not full drain the battery on one of these events. I thought about setting my Min SoC to 30%, so I have 20% left in the tank (until night time charging), but then thought, when it hits 30% .. would it just not draw from the grid until the Axel event finishes?
Are you able (via Home Assistant) to end an event when battery hits 30%
Suggestions and recommendations greatly appreciated
Hi Albie999,
I just had my 1st Axle event a couple of weeks ago and although my system did start exporting automatically it was at a very low rate, then I remembered I had set my Maximum Export Rate to 50W as I don't want to export to the grid when there was spare PV generation.
As soon as I upped this I was able to export at maximum inverter output (less the house load). So what i'm saying is you can restrict the max rate of discharge such that it can't fully drain your battery over the axle event period.
This way you don't have to change the min SOC settings.
