Inverter Wifi reception issues
Hi all!

My first post and a problem of course :)

I have a H1-6.0-E-G2-WL inverter which connects to my wifi. The inverter is on an outside wall and an AP is on the inside of that wall right next to it.

The inverter is using an integrated wifi card/antenna, there is not a dongle on the bottom, and the reception is appalling .- -75dB to -80dB which means it is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting.

If I connect to the same AP on my mobile phone whilst stood next to the Inverter I get a pretty strong -50 to -60dB and there is also a Tigo panel data logger which has a solid connection. The inverter just cant seem to get gfood signal for some reason.

I am wondering if plugging in a wifi dongle would help, as maybe the internal antenna being located inside the metal box is causing the issue.

Would this work ? Will the inverter then have 2 Wifi interfaces and pick the best one? or will I need to configure it to use the dongle and not the integrated antenna..?

Can any one help please?

Thanks for any help!! 8-)
