Hi there,
I setup my system to charge the battery using EV tariff overnight @8p and I export all surplus solar during the day @20p. To maximize my recovery, I want to discharge the remaining battery charge after 9pm to say 20% to leave enough battery to run the house until 12pm when the overnight rate starts. Using mode scheduler to setup a forced discharge at 9pm - it seems that when the battery hits 20% the system stops exporting as it should, but then doesn't run the house afterwards and starts importing rather than using the last 10% to run the house. Any suggestions on how I change that?

I'm afraid for now that is the way it works, ironically it used to do what you want but it was changed around 6 months back and Fox have taken quite a bit of Flak and have said they will fix it - not sure when but it may be soon.
For now i'm afraid the only way is to calculate a limited schedule period that will dump some of your battery (min set to 20%) and then switch back to Self Use afterwards - it won't be very accurate but you should get a half way house.

Hi Dave
Thank you for your reply. I was surprised when I saw this happening so will keep my eyes peeled to see when it gets fixed - I don't have a lot of battery power left most days so it's probably not worth the hassle of enabling and disabling the forced discharge for now but I will keep my eyes peeled for when a fix comes out. I suspect that energy companies aren't too unhappy about this update for obvious reasons so a fix may not be that quick
