Wonder if someone could help.
We have 2x Fox ESS EQ4800 installed, together with solar panels. Currently on a fixed-rate tariff but now looking to move to something to make more of this setup, and given Octopus Intelligent Flux appears to be closed at the moment, thinking about moving to Octopus Flux.
My question is - how to set up Octopus Flux in https://www.foxesscloud.com/v2/? Do we still have to follow this kind of manual setup (but not for Agile but for Flux): viewtopic.php?t=973 - or is it more simple?
Is it as simple as configuring the Octopus account ID and API key (see image 2027-07-27-oct-acc-api-key.png) ?
If not, any pointers to any articles/videos about how to set it up?
Any help very welcome as official "fox-ess.com" support is not being that helpful really.

Have 2x Fox ESS EQ4800 and solar panels setup. UK based.
If you sign up to Octopus Flux tariff, other than set your charge (and discharge) times in scheduler you don't need to do anything else.
With Agile you are handing control of your inverter to Fox and you link your Octopus account to Fox so they are able to gather the agile rates for your locale and control your inverters charge. In the case of Intelligent Flux you actually onboard with Octopus and they take control of your inverter so that they can charge/discharge it at times that suit the grid.
With Octopus Flux, it's simply a time of use tariff i.e. you don't link it to Fox or Octopus, instead all you need to do is set your battery to force charge overnight between 2am and 5am in the low tariff (albeit you may not do this in summer as there is plenty if solar to charge the batteries earlier in the day), and then you use any excess battery to force discharge in the higher export tariff between the 16:00 and 19:00.
As you have 2 * EQ4800 batteries, assuming you do want to get the maximum benefit of the higher export tariff you would probably set a force discharge window between 6pm an 7pm and set the cutoff soc to make sure that you have enough power left to run overnight.
