Hi All, very new here so please forgive any mistakes ! My system was installed on 14 July 2026 and, after a couple of teething problems, the installers got it functioning fully on 12 August 2026. Up to then it was only producing about 60% of what it should have. It is now working as designed, and given the recent weather has been filling the battery by late morning and then exporting really nicely. I'm now trying to set up the app to give some sort of representative revenue readings.
I've read through previous posts and I realise it will never be accurate as there is no way of setting in/out values in date lumps, the posts say they all default to a single value..... but I can't even get it to do that. If I set up a TOU Tariff for all day, buying at .24 selling at .12, the settings only seem to apply from today, can't get it to back date at all, and set as all year round, then "apply to plant" I instantly get a reading for today, but the total box at the top a) says total revenue since 07 August 2026 - where did THAT date come from ? and 2) all dates other than today show 0.00 for everything before today.
I've restarted the app - no difference
I must be doing something stupid/basically wrong .. but no idea what, any one any ideas please ??
I'll have more questions later .. but lets get this one done first please !!
Many Thanks
E

Will has a video guide for this, not sure if you have seen or followed it yet?
I always recommend to people that they track revenue via a spreadsheet, turns out it is less hassle and more accurate.

Many thanks for that.. I'd scanned through it quickly beforehand .. but had missed one very important statement .. picked up second time around ... "this is not retrospective... " which explains why there's nowt before I set up the tariff yesterday.
Doesn't explain where the "Your Total Revenue Since 07 Aug 2026" date comes from .. that one has me stumped !!
Is it OK to ask in the thread for Fox App 3.0 that a way of setting applicable dates for tariffs be incorporated ?? Seems to me that the required data in kW and date already exists going back .. just needs a way of inputting a date band to apply it to .... would not only allow idiots like me to set the system up from when it was installed (rather then when I found out I could set it up - 6 weeks later) it would be accurate when rates/tariffs change.... just a thought ???
I've been setting up a spreadsheet to monitor savings .. and have found a further puzzlement.......
On the "Analysis" page and using the "Month" & "Year" tabs .... if I add up the July + August values for
"PV Production"
"To Load & Battery"
"To Grid"
then they equal the values I get under "Year" (and "Total") just as I expect they would ......
but if I add up the July + August values for
"Load Consumption"
"From PV and Battery"
then they are both 7.4 kWh less than that shown under "Year" (and "Total")... "From Grid" adds up correctly but is NOT 7.4 !! which seems a tad strange to me !!
Being a bit of an idiot .. I then added up the weekly values... these have an error of 8.2 kWh for the same parameters !!
My first thought was "rounding errors" but I would have expected all parameters to have those .. not just these two.
Sorry to be pain ... but confused of wiltshire now !!

Glad you had a re-watch, it's easy to miss something first time around.
Unsure either, perhaps you mucked about with something on that date, or installer.
Might work, but also won't work for me... I have Octopus Agile with rate changes every 30min. I doubt Fox has stored the rate values going back in time.Entwood wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2026 3:19 pm Is it OK to ask in the thread for Fox App 3.0 that a way of setting applicable dates for tariffs be incorporated ?? Not sure why you are getting different readings, I only ever grab monthly figures and they are close to what Octopus claim for Import/Export. The readings can be odd if your CT clamp is naff (Fox vs. Supplier that is) Other possible reasons for figures being off, are missing data in the cloud. So not really sure to be honest what is missing there.
Thanks for that, posted in the fox app 3.0 requests section .. we'll see what happens
I guess I'm trying to do too much with the app, I'll rely to the spreadsheet instead.
