A few mths ago I started to see a fault notification in the app which cleared without anyone taking action. This kept happening intermittently and the inverter display screen showed everything working normally.
2 weeks ago I noticed on the app that the power production was 0 with the error 242 appearing again. This time the inverter screen had 0 power SOC 98% and checking and the green light flashing on and off. It’s now happening everyday from mid afternoon to around 5.30 then it’s back to normal. L
Even though August has had much more sun than July the export has dropped and grid usage increased I think because of the system shutting down.
Can anyone advise what the problem might be and how to resolve?
The error is caused because of a problem communicating with the inverters meter (or CT) whichever is fitted - I would suggest calling your installer back to look at the problem - it could be as simple as a loose connection somewhere in the meter cabling, or a faulty meter/CT but needs to be checked thoroughly to find the source.
Thank you I’ll get the installer to come back although they’ve not been the best in responding to me contacting them about the registration for MSC
