Usage confusion

Hello, sorry if I’m being silly here but I’m completely new to this.
I have had my solar panels and battery set up for a few weeks now. I’m just a bit confused as to why when I turn something on in my house the app shows power leaving my house and going to the grid. It says I’m using a minus figure and I’m feeding the grid even though my oven and heating is on.
Also the more sun I get throughout the day the more my smart meter is charging me.
I might just be impatient as I’m still waiting for a pack from my landlord so I can set up my solar tariff with octopus but it looks like it’s all been set up the wrong way round. Like I say I’m completely new to this so I might sound silly and all is ok.

normally means your ct clamp is backwards. with no major loads is it showing a small baseline load of minus? if it is then you're batteries won't discharge and it isn't working. You'd need to flip your fox ct 180 degrees

Thank you for your reply. My battery is discharging at least twice and sometimes 3 times a day for some reason often while no one’s home and very little is running in the house

Hi I have attached a photo of my CT clamp, are you able to confirm if this is installed correctly or do I need to turn it to point the other direction?

Unclip that black clap, turn 180 and reclip onto the same wire so the arrow on the ct points the other way and then wait 5-10mins and see if the power flow returns to normal

Thanks for the reply. I’ll try that when I get home from work

I got home to switch the ct clamp round and the installer came to have a look as they are having their work inspected in a few weeks. I told him I think the ct clamp is facing the wrong way and he agreed and turned it round. I’ll see how it goes now
