Hi,
I have a 10 panel system with a H1-5.0-E-G2 inverter and a single EP5 battery installed but the battery capacity isn't sufficient for my needs. I understand I can get additional batteries but do they have to be the same model? Could I, for example, add an EP11-H to my system? Everything is installed outside hence the heating version.
Thanks

No, you have to have 4 of the same. So 4x EP5 (non-heated), or alternatively you could ebay the EP5 and then get up to 4x EP11-H or 4x EP5-H.
If you were to add an EP5-H alongside your existing EP5, you would not be able to use the heating functionality because it is only enabled when all the connected batteries have heaters.

Spot on, this is correct advice. If your current EP5 is working without a heater ok then scaling with more isn't a bad idea either but no you can't mix EP sizes.WyndStryke wrote: Thu Jan 23, 2025 1:56 pm No, you have to have 4 of the same. Fox say you should have matching battery stacks on the H3 Pro, although a few people have tested it using different battery models - however the capacity must be the same on each input.Gimo74 wrote: Wed May 07, 2025 10:37 am What if the inverter has 2 battery inputs, like the H3-Pro?
Could I, for example, insert
an Ep11 under the first input and
an Ep5 under the second?
