Feed-In v Self-use
Noticed earlier, that my battery started to charge ... as hit 97% rather than exporting. I have set my battery to charge in my Octopus IOG cheap rate (11.30 to 5.30) .. so really not sure I need to waste my solar charging the battery, when can be exporting

So, I changed the Work Mode from Self-Use .. to feed-in. Just wanted to check if I leave it in Feed-in mode .. there are any real negatives to that?

Nope, I have mine in feedin mode during the summer when I don’t need the solar to top up the battery. As long as you can make it through the evening with your remaining battery you’ll be fine in feedin mode.

Re: Feed-In v Self-use
Thanks Will, left it in feed-in mode all day yesterday ... finished at about 73% battery (10.36kw EP11) at bed time ... and only put the battery on charge from 3.30am to 5.30am .... and was 100% charged in the morning .. and exporting straight away :-)

You say "in the summer" .. do you tend to put it back into Self-Use in the winter?

Re: Feed-In v Self-use
yes self use in the winter as my house loads increase due to heatpumps and I need to personally use the solar or store it vs exporting it.
