FIXED: Cannot disable Manual Mode Scheduler

How do I disable the Manual Mode Scheduler??
Note "Enable" in this app actually means "Enabled" and "Disable" actually means "Disabled"

Manual Mode Scheduler started off indicating "Disable".
Was experimenting with Manual Mode Scheduler and put in some time frames. Now have deleted the schedules, but Manual Mode Scheduler still indicates "Enable".

I may have answered my own question here but others experience would be appreciated. Looks like a software bug.
This was a PITA to fix. Essentially you cannot fix it on the mobile app.

Here is how I fixed it.
1. Had to do it using the online web app > Go to Quick Settings > Mode Scheduler
2. Remove all schedules then create a new blank one from 00:00-23:59
3. Disable this schedule
4. Submit
5. Mode Scheduler is "Disabled"
6. Now I can use Grid Charge Settings again without error.

Here's what Chat GPT found:
1. The Scheduler Has to Be Actually Removed, Not Just Turned Off

In the Fox Cloud app (especially v2), simply switching Mode Scheduler to “Off” often doesn’t actually remove the schedule from the inverter.

The app may show “Disable,” but the schedule is still stored in the inverter and still controlling settings.

Because of this, other settings (Work Mode, Charge Times, etc.) are blocked while a schedule exists, even if it looks disabled.

Known App/Cloud Bugs

Many users report Mode Scheduler settings either not sticking or re‑enabling automatically:

The Cloud 2.0 app and web portal are still buggy: schedules sometimes don’t show, or you get errors like
“Failed to get device timer mode settings” even after you think you’ve deleted it.
Overclockers UK Forums

Simply deleting schedules in the UI often doesn’t actually submit the change to the inverter, or the app fails to push the change.

There are reports where firmware interactions make scheduler settings stick even when shown as disabled or deleted.

Here is a shorter method to disable the Manual Mode Scheduler.

Materialbaracuda48. Thanks for your input. That setting might only apply to UK. I am in Aus and don't have that setting.
Here is what I see. Even when you toggle off and Submit, the Mode Schedule stays on.

I guess we have an extra screen as we have Octopus Agile as an extra choice in the UK.
So your work around, does the trick for Aus users, so a good find and write up for others to find.

I’m having the same issue.

When you create a new blank one from 00:00-23:59, what are the setting? Self mode?

I've solved this exact problem right now. I've been scrambling for a while...

. Go to https://www.foxesscloud.com. V1 SITE. NOT THE NEW ONE
. Select devices
. Select inverter
. Select your inverter and go to the details page.
. Middle of the page you will see your home setup
.Work Model - click the edit button
. New page will appear.
. In the user-defined tap you have one option.
. STRATEGIC PERIOD = DISABLE that button.

It's done
You now should change minSoc and battery reserve without errors

Hopefully this will help

I've been charging my car, and it kept using my Fox battery & the grid to charge.

I was manually setting min battery reserve to 99% and min soc to 99% and this solved it.

Then I looked at setting up a schedule so I could simply use the schedule to do the same, so I didn't have to remember to manually set it.

But before I set the schedule, I didn't put battery reserve and min soc back to 20%

That's when it messed up, and now my battery is stuck on 99% and I can not alter it.

I’ve tried everything mentioned here and more.

I tried to set min soc on the inverter screen itself. But it won’t let me there either.
My issue seems to be a known one.
As I found this

The "099%" display is a classic symptom of the Manager 1.61 firmware bug or a mismatch
between the Master and Manager versions. • Check Versions: On the inverter screen, go to About and find your Master and Manager
(ARM) versions. • Contact Support: If you are on Manager 1.61 or earlier, email service@fox-ess.com with your serial number. Ask them to "remotely push the latest firmware update to clear the 99% SoC lock". Installers have special "Agent" accounts that can push these updates in
minutes, while end-user accounts cannot.

Have raised a ticket with Fox. Hope they get back to me Monday.

I can't disable the mode scheduler via the app either, but using the Fox Cloud 2.0 website, if I first enable then disable the final remaining slot in the mode scheduler on the website, then submit, then the mode scheduler then shows as disabled in the fox cloud 2.0 app.

Thanks for sharing this! Ps, would you be able to force charge from the grid when charge from grid is enabled? Mine only charges the battery from solar not from the grid for some reason, wondering if anyone else experiencing similar issue, in Australia.

The Fox app is not turning off the scheduler master switch, if you have installer access to the system you can disable it by setting this setting ‘SegmentedTimedModeEnable’ off.

The Energy Stats app by Al Priest (available on iOS and Android) does disable the scheduler when you turn it off - that seems a good way to resolve this issue.

When you set a schedule the minSoC setting endures after that schedule has ended - if the scheduler is enabled you will not be able to set it via the app or the inverter screen, try adding another item in your schedule that sets the workmode to say Self Use and minSoC to 10% for the rest of the day and that should get you going.

Thanks for the reply.
Yup I’ve tried that one.
And bizarrely if I do when I return to it it’s changed from 10% to 99% on its own. Even thought it said it was saved. And i did submit after.
So there’s a deeper issue going on I’m afraid.
